Is Ameriplan A Scam ?

The magical question that everyone wants to know, is ameriplan a scam or even a pyramid scheme ? The quick answer to that is actually no but I recommend you to read this review on them and see if it’s a company yois ameriplan a scam ?u will want to take part in.

I will explain why ameriplan doesn’t care about the people that promote their service.

What Is Ameriplan ?

Ameriplan is a worldwide company that offers immense discounts on prescriptions, dental, and health care plan. They were founded back in 1992 and reside in texas. They have many people that promote their plans as they provide a commission opportunity  for anyone interested. Now that you have a general idea of what ameriplan is let’s take a closer look.

They have different pricing ranging from $12.95 – $150 plus a $19.95 yearly fee. Let’s take a look at the different type of memberships.

AmeriPlan Dental Plus is the first of the plans they provide and tis one cost $19.95 but take a look at the different features.

  • Dental
  • Vision
  • Prescriptions
  • Chiropractic

AmeriPlan MD Plus is the next plan they offer you which you get assistance to a physician 24/7 and this one currently runs for $29.95. Here is what it comes with.

  • AmeriDoc – access to a physician 24/7 by phone or email.
  • Prescription
  • Dental
  • Hospital advocacy

AmeriPlan Healthcare is a plan that covers your household threshold. It’s a medical discount program plus all the discounts that the dental plan brings.

  • Physicians
  • AmeriDoc
  • Wellness programs
  • Hearing discounts
  • Ancillary Services
  • Hospital advocacy
  • Podiatry services

AmeriPlan Lifestyle is another plan but this is basically Ameriplan health care but with a complementary membership that gives you access to coupons for $99.95. Take a look at the variety of coupons below.

  • Dining
  • automotive
  • Recreation
  • shopping
  • Business and technology
  • And much more actually .

Here Is How You Make Money With Them

Like most other companies, this will be a commission based job but the amount of money you can make depends on the type of membership you have. The more expensive the membership you have the more money you can make and vise versa.

It comes with an automated website that they provide for you. I already see one flaw in this company, anyone that wont let you create your own website is basically setting you up for failure as what happens if they decide to let you go ? I have more on this later on the post.

To make it simple for you, the compensation plan is really broken up into 3 categories (20%,30%, and 40%). Again the more expensive your plan the higher percentage you gain but is it really worth it ?

This Is A Phone Type Of Business

If you are not comfortable or just don’t like talking on the phone, I suggest you look else where as mostly all the sales and information distributed is done by phone. You are calling random people and trying to persuade them by informing them on what you have to offer.

You can choose one the plans to sell or you can do all of them. They give discounts that you can sell but there is one big problem with that , they don’t TEACH you how to do this ! Sound crazy right ? I mean you are making people do cold calls but you are not really training them on the sales aspect of things.

The only training I honestly found was that every Tuesday in the evenings at 8pm they do live training calls but honestly that’s about it.

Who Is This For?

Preferably a stay at home mom that enjoys talking on the phone for hours and is okay with getting some very unpleasant people barking down on you for bothering them. This doesn’t sound like the type of business you want to be part of then I suggest you take a look at my wealthy affiliate review as it’s them who have actually helped me build my OWN online business.

Do They Offer Support ?

The support you get is that you can always call any of the recruiters with any question you may have.

What Actual Got Me To Doing This Review

As you may notice I tend to target products/ programs that are scams but this one I’m not sure as I came across a story on the web that really had me cringing. I’ll summarize the story for you.

This was a man that had been with this company for 2 years and he had worked his way up the rankings in over that time and was making 4k a month. That’s the good part but the bad part is that they decided to take it all away ! They pretty much stripped him from everything he had earned and they didn’t even give him an explanation.

Now this man is currently jobless and nothing to fall back on. I’m sorry whether ameriplan is a scam or not is actually pretty irrelevant, there is no way a business or company should be able to do this. I honestly felt bad for this person as he had just wasted 2 years of his life with nothing really to show for it.

My Verdict

I’m not trying to stop you from joining Ameriplan but more like trying to warn you of what has happen to others. You should think of it like are you just another tree in the forest, what happens if they cut off that tree while no ones is watching ? Nothing happens is your word against theirs.

If you are looking to make money from home, I suggest you take a look at my number one recommendation.

Like always, if you have any experience or thoughts please be open to sharing them.

  1. This type of opportunity is difficult to achieve success. I personally had been to other same type of company but in travel. The commission based is almost the same where you make more by upgrading to higher membership. I don’t think this is a good career pathway especially for someone that is not comfortable talking on the phone!

    • I definitely agree with you eddy as I don’t see someone having much success with such a company. You are thrown in no mans land and like most most MLM business you aren’t told everything till you find out for yourself.

  2. Very interesting. I have always been interesting in selling insurance but never got on the ball. This is something I want to look into in the next few months. Im going to bookmark this. Thank you, great post by the way. Very professional

    • Hey AJ,

I’m glad you found my review useful but if you wanted to sell insurance I would go another alternative than ameriplan. It’s not a company I would be joining anytime soon.

  3. Hey Yunier,

I’ve heard a lot of bad things about Ameriplan. And you just confirmed another one of this poor guy getting everything taken away from him.

You find this also happens with MLM (network marketing) companies. Lot’s of people do not read the policies and procedures of these companies.

I bet if you read the P&P’s of Ameriplan – you’ll find a clause that says they can do this without a reason and without notice.

Who would ever want to work for a company that can take your livelihood away on a whim?

    I now I never would.

    Keep the great reviews coming.

    • Hi there leo,

You are definitely right as there is quite a few of reviews trying to shed light on what is ameriplan. It’s true most people tend to ignore the policy and procedures, this is the number one mistake people make.

Once I see a new program or product, I go straight to their policies! Thank you for the comment.
