Is Lifevantage A Scam? Take A Look At My Lifevantage Review

Hello there, I’m taking some extra time to write a review that I been looking to write on Lifevantage for a while. There are many people online asking the very same question you are, Is Lifevantage A Scam? This review will reveal what you need to know about this company that you might know of.

What Is Lifevantage?

I believe we as human beings have one similar fear and that in my opinion is, scared of getting old. Aging is a very dramatic experience that most people don’t deal with well at all. There is a product or in this case products that claims that it will slow the process of aging with natural science proven products. Just think about it, a product that slows down the rate at which you age is just awesome.

The fountain of youth is right at your arms reach but then we must face reality. Lifevantage has been on ABC with their advertisements making claims that they have the products that can give you that fountain of youth that you were so scared that never existed. I’m going to give you a brief summary on this company.

Lifevantage was founded back in 2003, they strive to offer the products that will provide you and me the healthy and wellness goals that we all aim for. Lifevantage expertise falls right into making nutraceutical products, specially Protandim.

Their mission statements states: “LifeVantage Corporation is a company dedicated to helping people achieve their health, wellness and financial independence goals. We provide quality, scientifically-validated products and a financially rewarding network marketing business opportunity to customers and independent distributors who seek a healthy lifestyle and financial freedom”

Lifevantage is an MLM online business opportunity that pays it’s distributors for the sales they achieve on their various  nutraceutical products. This corporation is lead by  Dave S. Manovich, the Executive Vice Chairman.

The LifeVantage Products

LifeVantage states that science is the center piece of behind each one of their products, that their super recommended flag ship product supplement Prodantim was developed by Dr. Joe McCord. Dr. Joe is the co – founder of superoxide dismutase (SOD).

SOD is basically an enzyme that is there to wipe away all free radicals or so they claim. Many of their products have this characteristic as a huge component of their product.

LifeVantage TrueScience® Anti-Aging Regimen.

Introducing TrueScience™ with enhanced Nrf2 technologies, a revolutionary beauty system proven in a clinical study to visibly address the signs of aging.

Protandim –The Nrf2 Synergizer:

This is the “Flagship” of LifeVantage and described as ‘Protandim activates the body’s natural ability to reduce age-related symptoms on the cellular level. Protandim reduces oxidative stress in humans by an average of 40 percent in 30 days. It activates Nrf2 to communicate with your DNA to deliver a biochemical wake-up call to your genes.

The Power of Protandim

Certain foods, especially fruits and vegetables, contain antioxidants. But Protandim will boost your body’s production of antioxidants more effectively by activating the protein Nrf2, telling cells to turn on a network of antioxidant enzymes and protective genes.

LifeVantage Canine Health, Nrf2 for your dogs

LifeVantage Canine Health is a daily supplement specifically formulated for dogs. Using Nrf2-activating ingredients, collagen and omega-3 fatty acids, it is specifically formulated to reduce oxidative stress, support brain, skin, eye and joint function, as well as mobility, flexibility and cognitive function.

AXIO Energy Drink – Guilt-free physical and mental energy

This powerful combination of brain ergogenics delivers the anti-fatigue, balanced mood, and mental focus benefits that keep your mind and body going all day
(and all night if needed).

What Is The LifeVantage Opportunity?

LifeVantage gives the opportunity to any individual to sell these products as an independent distributor. Without question, LifeVantage is your typical MLM business model but they also get paid for recruiting other individuals as well which is something that they changed not too long ago.

They claim that they aren’t like other MLM companies because they provide good quality products as solutions for people with aging insecurities or just people that want to reach optimal wellness. They also claim that they have a very unique compensation plan that cant be matched by others and this caught my eye when I read this so like you , I wanted to see how legit this was. But before I get to that let’s take a look at the complaints about this company not just with business side of things but also the products that are being offered to promote.

LifeVantage Customer Complaints

There are many dissatisfied customers for good reason. Not many people found that these products gave them the positive effects on aging as promised. This was one concern the other was that it actually took efforts to find the ingredients on these products I was able to find them with some extensive research. Here are the ingredients.

  • Milk thistle extract (225 mg – 80% silymarin)
  • Bacopa extract (150 mg – 45% bacosides)
  • Ashwagandha root powder (150 mg)
  • Green tea extract (75 mg – 98% polyphenols)
  • Turmeric extract (75 mg -95% curcumin)

As far as protandim is concern, here is a quote by customerlab.com on this

“A daily serving of one caplet provides, with the exception of milk thistle extract, amounts of each ingredient far below those used in clinical trials,” and that “Protandim may have antioxidant activity, but there is little evidence that it provides any therapeutic benefit in humans.”

In other words, The only 2 clinical studies that was conducted on humans protandim was only effective on one of them. All the other studies were actually performed on rats and mice.

I’m not too excited about this study because well, if LifeVantage states that their products are actually above par because they concentrate on protandim but studies are proving that this isn’t even a for sure thing then what proof is there ?

LifeVantage Product Prices

  • Protandim: $50 ($40 for Preferred Customers)
  • TrueScience: $211 for the complete set ($160 for Preferred Customers). Note: Each product in the set is also available for individual purchase.
  • Canine Health: $30 ($25 for Preferred Customers)
  • Axio: $60/50 pcs

The LifeVantage Compensation Plan

What I really don’t like about MLM companies is that you will be asked to do things you probably aren’t even comfortable doing. It’s very misleading at times but let me explain.

  • You’re required to place a monthly order (no matter if you need the product or not) to stay “active” or earn commissions (extra money for LifeAvantage)
  • Qualify and maintain active status every month to participate in the ‘pool of commissionable sales’
  • Recruit new product partners (Preferred Customers)
  • Understanding an extensive compensation plan. At least, LifeVantage provides a table that demonstrates your percentage commission of your down line to 9 levels deep.

Good luck understanding this compensation plan ! This is why MLM just isn’t my cup of tea at all. If MLM doesn’t seem like it’s for you then go take a look at my number one way to make money online for free of charge.

My Verdict

At the end of this review there is only one thing I must say, I cannot recommend LifeVantage the MLM opportunity or the products they offer. It seems pretty obvious that to see any real benefits whatsoever you will need to spend a lot of time into LifeVantage and this isn’t something I’m willing to do at the moment.

My other issue is the fact that I cant even say if the products actually work or not. From what I researched and have read from previous customers, LifeVantage isn’t worthwhile. Their statement on how they use protandim as the main component for proving exceptional health and wellness comes into question as there isn’t that no doubt fact that is required for me to actually recommend these products.

Have you had some experience with LifeVantage in the past or have a story to share ? Please leave your thoughts down on the comment section below.

Cheers-

Yunier

  1. Based on what you write about Lifevantage, one can only agree with your final verdict, in particular in view of your statement that it is not at all clear if their products actually work or not. As I see in your text, many people are unsatisfied with what they get from Lifevantage. I have not had any experience with them in the past, and after reading your text I think it will remain so. Thanks for your review.

    • Hey Jovo,

There is no real fact that these products actually work. I mean their main product revolves around that protandim cures everything and ect but the 2 case studies that were perform only one worked while the offer didn’t. All the other case studies were perform on animals with that being said would you trust their product ? I don’t think that I can till this gets cleared up at the very least.

  2. I’m afraid this type of thing needs some sort of sceintific proof behind it before I would even consider it. When you factor in the fact that it’s an MLM it gets even worse!
I can’t be done with these MLM companies.
What online opportunities do you feel are a better bet than this type of thing? Affiliate marketing maybe?

    • I feel your pain chris as I never really enjoyed MLM and i’ve tried it more than once but never enjoyed it. In my experience, I would prefer building a sub niche website that will definitely give you more benefits. I learned everything I know within wealthy affiliate .

  3. very informative and honest post! This product seems a little unbelievable! Which, you know the old saying “if it seems too good to be true it probably is” I can definitely see where this company is coming from, and they probably have to potential to be very successful. I just personally don’t trust any product that essentially stems from the “fountain of youth” myth. Thanks for being honest and giving an unbiased review!

  4. Okay reading through your review I have to say that I never heard of lifevantage, but you really laid out the details on the products and how they got started.

Yes then I got to the part of the MLM and being a distributor,…seems to me that we all have heard this before, so my thoughts were that it is a repackaged, MLM company where you have to get others to sign up and stay with you. Also I am not surprised at the complaints. But hold on here, I like your verdict and the way you laid everything out so people could form their own opinion. Your recommendation for making money is excellent and certainly gives your readers what they are looking for

  5. Lifevantage looks just like one of your usual mlm companies. They do not have a unique range of products and their compensation plan looks a bit confusing.

Overall I am not a big fan of mlm companies and would prefer affiliate marketing over mlm any day. Network marketing is not for everyone and it takes a specific skillset to be successful with it.
